At Jamboree Heights State School we are fortunate to have a school community with a vested interest in education and our students. Parents regularly volunteer at our school in a variety of ways such as:

  • Attending P&C Association meetings, Music Committee meetings, and Sports Committee meetings
  • Taking on executive roles or projects within various committees and forums
  • Coordinating and assisting at fund raising events such as school discos, fetes, bush dances, Christmas functions, chocolate drives, voting day stalls, etc.
  • Assisting in the tuckshop or in the uniform shop
  • Assisting in classrooms or at the library
  • Attending working bees or assisting classes with gardens
  • Participating in school forums such as school reviews
  • Participating in student leadership induction ceremonies or Year 7 graduation ceremonies
  • Assisting with the annual School Concert
  • Assisting with student banking or bookfairs
  • Assisting with special projects such as the air-conditioning project
  • Looking after animals over the holidays (i.e. chooks, etc.)
  • Attending school excursions or school assemblies
  • Seeking donations or making donations to our school
  • Coaching or managing a school team
  • Offering services from a personal business

These ongoing partnerships truly benefit our students and school.
