At
Jamboree Heights State School we are fortunate to have a school community with
a vested interest in education and our students. Parents
regularly volunteer at our school in a variety of ways such as:
- Attending
P&C Association meetings, Music Committee meetings, and Sports
Committee meetings
- Taking
on executive roles or projects within various committees and forums
- Coordinating
and assisting at fund raising events such as school discos, fetes, bush
dances, Christmas functions, chocolate drives, voting day
stalls, etc.
- Assisting
in the tuckshop or in the uniform shop
- Assisting
in classrooms or at the library
- Attending
working bees or assisting classes with gardens
- Participating
in school forums such as school reviews
- Participating
in student leadership induction ceremonies or Year 7 graduation ceremonies
- Assisting
with the annual School Concert
- Assisting
with student banking or bookfairs
- Assisting
with special projects such as the air-conditioning project
- Looking
after animals over the holidays (i.e. chooks, etc.)
- Attending
school excursions or school assemblies
- Seeking
donations or making donations to our school
- Coaching
or managing a school team
- Offering
services from a personal business
These ongoing partnerships truly benefit our students and school.
